Whytecliff Park Playground
toddler structure | low crowd levels | bathrooms | low traffic caution | parking | sandbox | baby swings | picnic tables
This cute playground in Horseshoe Bay has the perfect mixture of open areas, walking paths and fun structures to spend a nice afternoon with the kids.
Whytecliff park playground can be a great stop in between hikes. It’s main attraction and one we have not seen anywhere else in the North Shore is a dinosaur structure which kids can climb and slide down on. There is a play structure with double slides, climbing and hanging contraptions plus fun stations to pretend-drive a car, puzzles and even a bridge and a periscope. Short wide steps make it an easy structure for the little ones.
The open green spaces are beautiful and very well kept, plus the sand pit has a couple of diggers and some toys to play with. There are baby swings and regular swings.
There are bathrooms and picnic tables - plus a covered area for picnics or BBQs. The nearby tennis courts can also be used to run around (if there are no players) and there is allocated parking.
If you want to extend your play time, take the short path down to the beach, or explore the rock bluffs for the best view.
