Located just off Grand Boulevard, this park has everything you need to spend a few hours of fun! With options for all ages, ample space, and lights, this will be a sure favourite during the winter months when daylight hours are short.
Ray Perrault Park offers a wide variety of sporting activities, from cycling and running to tennis, soccer, basketball, and even bocce courts. There are full washrooms and plenty of designated parking.
The park also has lights, which are very welcome for evening play during the autumn/winter months.
The playground is divided into 2 sections with a nice big tree and a full-size basketball hoop in the middle.
On one side, the toddler area offers a few fun options and it is set on sand so the entire place is one giant sandbox. There is also a sand/water play area with cups and funnels, as well as a water fixture. A slide and two baby swings complete the offerings for the younger set.
On the other side, there is a more daring structure for school-age kids, with a zipline and other hanging options, as well as a slide. A lounger swing can be used by all ages and there is a “Community Chest” which is currently empty, but it may have held at some point some treasures to play with. Hopefully they will return soon.
If you are looking to plan a gathering, there is a wide open space on top of the washroom building that overlooks the entire playground and sits adjacent to the soccer field. It’s a nice place to keep an eye on everything going on.
