Playgrounds in North and West Vancouver

This small and unassuming playground is not a destination in its own right, but rather a nice bonus to a visit to Dundarave Park and beach in West Vancouver. Devoid of the usual plastic structures, the wooden construction of the playground blends in with the grey hued sand of Dundarave beach.

Fairmont Park is the perfect park for toddlers just learning how to use playgrounds. Shaded, gated, and peaceful.

This neighborhood playground sits on a large grassy field in the quiet Garibaldi Park in North Vancouver (not to be confused with the namesake Provincial Park up near Whistler). It has all the basics you need in a playground, and the park itself, with its tranquil setting and a nice garden, make for an overall pleasant visit.

This small playground is tucked away in Grousewoods Park, located in a tranquil residential Grousewoods neighborhood. It features two different height slides, a few structures for climbing, a seesaw, a rocking horse, and one regular and one baby swing.

Although located on busy Marine Drive in North Vancouver, Heywood Park offers an escape into nature and fun for all ages. With a zipline, a huge sandbox, and easy access to the creek and nature trails, this park is a definite must-visit.

Highlands Elementary School playground was designed for fun. Climb, spin, swing, and slide as you explore this obstacle course of a playground.

This is a beautiful West Vancouver park with a gorgeous setting overlooking the sea. The giant pirate ship play structure is perfect for toddlers and older kids to plan their treasure-seeking adventures. It has two levels, so it will keep them occupied for hours!

This is a partially-gated playground but only available for public access outside school days/hours. Whilst it does not really belong to the school, they have priority access. There is a monitor who will kindly ask you to leave should you try to visit when school is in.

This is a beautiful playground in a beautiful oceanside setting. It has something from everyone from the youngest toddlers to the more adventurous climbers.

Kilmer park playground is tucked away to the side of the large fields and behind the splash park.
